Job-offers ratio drops to record low.

The ratio of job offers to job seekers sank to a record low in May, as the unemployment rate climbed for the fourth straight month--and the government expects the situation to worsen further.
Although corporate production has shown signs of recovery in some fields, the job market has deteriorated at such a pace that the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare revised downward its assessment.

"The severity of the (employment) situation is increasing further," the ministry said Tuesday.
The ratio of job offers to job seekers in May dropped by 0.02 point from the previous month to a seasonally adjusted 0.44, meaning there were only 44 jobs available for every 100 job seekers.
It was the lowest level since the labor ministry began compiling the statistics in 1963.

The ratio of job offers for full-time positions was a record low 0.24, meaning that more than four people competed for one job.

The ratio of new job offers to new job seekers stood at a seasonally adjusted 0.75 in May. It was also the lowest ratio recorded.

Although the number of new job seekers decreased 2.7 percent from the previous month for the third straight decline, the number of new job offers also fell 4.9 percent, the fifth consecutive monthly drop.

2009 Word Baseball Classic.

2009 World Baseball Classic(WBC) was held on last March. WBC is the baseball match on a global scale. WBC steering committee determined site and schedule. In the 1st round, It was held in Japan, Mexico, Canada, and Puerto Rico. In the 2nd round downward, It was held all in the U.S.A.

Below is the ranking. Champion was Japan. Korea finished second. Best four was Venezuela and America. Japan and Korea played off a tie. The result of the game was 5 to 3.

After tha WBC, American was shocked. Because they lost Japanese. According to AP communication, national sports of America, baseball was damaged. And they indicated that we were learned by winners of Japanese and Korea.

Michael Jacskson died.

On June 25 ,2009, Michael Jackson died in his home. The cause of his death is cardiac failure. He was 50 years old. The hospital which Michael was carried and his home were crowded with his fans. Also, this news was reported all over the world at once. The whole earth mourned the death of him.

Worldwide Developers Conference(WWDC) is held by Apple every year. This is the event for developers. They develop software of Mac OS X Server. There is a charge. But, Students can attend for free.

In 2006 June, this was hold in San Francisco. In last year, iphone 3G was announced. So everyone expected in this year too. Vice-president of Apple talked about new products. They were MacVook Pro, Mac X SnowLeopard, and iPhoneOS 3.0.
